31 QUESTIONS for 31 YEARS | HBD to the EIC
May 3, 2023
Put your party pants on cause our Editor-in-chief and everyones favorite bad girl is turning 31!
Don’t let her size fool ya cause this interview was packed with a punch! She’s got the mouth of a sailor, the style of Adam Sandler, and lives for tattoos and trucker hats – but to her core, she’s our resident empath. Leave it to her to cry with you, fight for you and reassure you of your worth.
We couldn’t wait to sit down with her to talk, swear, laugh, and absorb all the wit and sarcasm she brings to a room, and what better way than putting her in the hot seat with 31 questions for 31
(in no particular order)
Shook but stoked! Tbh, it’s never the number that makes me feel weird about birthdays, it’s just the general feeling of “how the fuck am I supposed to believe I’m 31”. In so many ways I still feel like I’m 24 – a time when I was discovering my independence, and strength, and molding my life.
Two former hell raisers found a place of comfort among the chaos. The love was real and the rest was written after a night of partyin’ like rockstars and lovin’ like filmstars. No one wanted or could split them up so they ran away and made a life of their own.
do no harm, take no shit.
My husband; he’s always willing to take on new challenges with the utmost excitement and optimism, no matter what spurred the change or challenge. I usually panic so to see someone so sure of themself and trust themself is an example I take to heart.
I’m more of an “experience” kinda bday girl so spending it in Puerto Rico in the middle of the National Rainforest last year was unmatched! But if I had to pick something materialistic, my blue Walkman from 1999. slay.
waking up early and making my bed or following my hair-washing schedule.
never the same, but I’m always an early riser and like starting the day with the holy trinity: lemon water, coffee, and a cold face wash. Ending my night looks a lot like tea in bed binge-watching a crime documentary.
ahhhh there are so many things, but I think his humor is one of my favorite things.
iced shaken espresso with oat milk

can’t I have both?!
my Nonno always told me: “You are a sheep among wolves, be wise as a serpent yet innocent as a dove” In other words have the courage to think and act for yourself whenever possible rather than being swept along on the tide and put equal weight on both qualities when making decisions for ourself.
Bloo (“blue”)! He’s a blue-nose Pitbull and the sweetest thing – Scott rescued him before we got together. The pound named him Blooper originally and Scott renamed him to just Bloo.
Ethnically, I’m a spicy little bean (Mexican and Italian). Professionally, before I was a content creator and SoulCycle Instructor I studied wine where I became a level 3 Sommelier (snobby word for wine expert) and was also a Wine Sales Rep.
I wanna create a relatable space that allows people to connect, learn and, in return create a brand that my audience will support and be excited about – some things are in the works *insert big emoji eyes*
I am a human garbage disposal, I eat everything… but I don’t love cooked carrots.
I speak 3 languages
I was hit by a plane
My nipples are pierced

30’s are where it’s at, no questions. I’m so much more confident, I’m happy, I feel grounded and unlike in my twenties, I don’t feel like I’m trying to figure out where I belong, which was always the biggest hurdle. But my twenties prepared me for that because as selfish, wild, and fun as they were, it was hard. I went through a lot of shit, learned a lot, lost a lot, and maybe it’s why things are so rewarding now.
If I’m not taking shots of tequila, it’s gonna be an Aperol Spritz or cold Modelo.

In 2 years of teaching, I’ve taught over 1,000 classes. I teach 9 classes a week on average (sometimes more and sometimes 3 a day) crazy but I love it.

Swimming in Lake Como getting paid to make content
My girl @StephWizzle and Chad at Final Sin Tattoo – both are local amazing artists! I have two currently because both are masters of different styles and I’m blending both fine line and American Trad on my arm! Not only are they talented but they’re the dopest humans
no favorites but right now I’m digging my little horned cherub on my forearm the most.
because I’m indecisive the limit does not exist but for the sake of my sanity, I give myself an hour before taking a break and revisiting the drawing board if I’m not instantly in love with what my first hour brings. It’s all about balance, yo.
